Alexander library Wangst McPants search
i was in the Perth Alexander library recently reading the wasteland by eliot or something. im not competely sure, I was stoned. Anyways, they have these computers where you can search the library catalogue, and these also allow you to use the LISWA (which is like the library association or something?) Intranet (Intranet? have i got that right Wangst? does anyone know what the fuck I'm talking about at all? did i just imagine this whole thing?)
Anyhoo, you can look at the Library website and stuff. and they have this thing you can do called Ask A Librarian, where you like chat in an applet window to some online librarian who could be anywhere in Australia. You're sposed to ask them stuff, you know, about books and that. After they answer you a transcript of the conversation is sent to your email address which they ask you to provide. Try it next time youre in Alexander library. It's free and its fun.
Here is an example. I asked them about Wangst McPants in order to see how famous he has become amongst academics around the world. Apparently he is well known, they even have his email address.
This is a transcript of your Asknow! online reference session.
