An excellent HDD at an amzing price!
I bought this as an upgrade for my wife’s Dell GX260 Slim Tower’s 40 GB drive.
I was skeptical when I saw the price, but after two weeks of using it, I must confess that I am amazed at the deal we made.
The drive works perfectly with no bad sectors. I simply switched drives, installed the OS and we were off with no problems.
Hard Drive Review
The hard drive was shipped in a flimsy shipping bag. There was absolutely no support to guarentee that if the package was dropped that the hard drive would be ok. The corner of the hardrive was broken and am still in the process of trying to get it to work. If no luck by the end of the week I will be asking for a refund on my money.
Working Great
It’s been like a month since I got it and it is working just fine.
Even though the package just comes with the HD, it has the diagram to set the jumper as master, slave or master with slave. Set it up to master with slave installed Linux in it and I have now two HD up and running.
Died after 14 months
This drive died after 14 months of usage. Began with a clicking noise before it died so at least I had some warning of the impending failure to perform backups.

This drive was very easy to put in the computer. My HP found it immediately, and it sort of installed by itself. It wasn’t showing up but I didn’t switch the jumper for it to be a slave drive 
. Once we did that, I had to install it with this program:

Once I did that very easily and quickly, my new, big (for an older type of drive), and speedy drive was ready to go! I’m currently moving stuff from my 40GB to it, so I can boot, and overall run faster. 5 stars, other than the documentation! That, and other stuff for the drive, can be found online.
