For all those who have travelled to the gold coast for schoolies, or the rest of us who are unfortunate enough to live here (grrr to schoolies), there are a selection of decent gigs to wet your appetite around this time of year. Two of which being: The living end/Gyroscope/the Casanovas on Friday the 28th, and the all punky brewster line-up of Bodyjar/Antiskeptic/New School Hero on December 4th. Both gigs at The Trocaderro .

So in mouth-watering anticipation, I thought a post be in order to step through this delicious meal of an event with good manners and etiquette.

Step 1. The Entree`

New School Hero

?Our local punk boys from the gold coast can serve up a tasty treat indeed! . New school punk is the way they play, and the sound they have created is very infectious . A diamond in the rough, these boys are destined to become Australia's next punk main course. A great way to start any show and get the crowd in the right mood.

Step 2. The Main Course

Antiskeptic

The Rock Meat, the Melody Veg, the Ballad Salad....etc. This is a Band that delivers more than enough to satisfy your hunger on its own right. Antiskeptic's first album release Aurora is a subtle yet powerful album that delivers a robust taste to the proverbial pallet. From Dusk to Dawn this band has what it takes to keep you rocking all day long.

Step 3. Dessert

Bodyjar

Right! . You've tasted the Entree' and Eaten through the Main Course , but you always leave room for your favorite part of the meal. And with plenty of reason too. Bodyjar are celebrating their 10th year and have released a 'Best Of' Compilation Album to celebrate ( what no choc mud cake? ). With 18 tracks including 2 new ones, this is a must have for any fan. The Bonus DVD is worth your money alone, including 18 video clips, live in Korea, road movies, backstage footage, ads , stunts , fanography etc etc etc .

Step 4. Coffee & Tea

Encore...... because it's expected.

Well .... that wraps up an excellent night, all that's left is to check the Bill.

Cost: $ Priceless :)

Hey Matt.... Movable Type has a capability where you can upload images to the existangst.com server.

Could i get you to do it that way rather then having you store images on your iprimus space?

Otherwise great post man :D

Who are The Cola Wars? Has any one heard of them?

The Cola Wars are from Melbourne town I think.

just a quick note, Aurora is actually antiskeptics second album, not their first.

Their first was memoirs of a common man and it is up there with my favourite album of all time.

Aurora is good too, but not in the same league
