dear readers, i wish to draw your attention to a label based in Berlin called BPitch Control.
formed in 1999 by dj/producer Ellen Allien (pictured below), BPitch Control serves as a vehicle for Allien's own releases as well as those of other german electronic acts like Sascha Funke, Paul Kalkbrenner and Tok Tok.
crisp and clean production is the order of the day for BPitch Control releases.
Allien's 2003 LP "Berlinette" features invigorating drum tracks melded with classic house bass lines and at any given time fragmented guitar samples and glitch-chop vocals bring listeners to one conclusion. it's fresh. the track "trash scapes" is taken from this release. other highlights include "wish" and "sehnsucht" (i mentioned it's a german label, right?).

also not to be missed is the self-titled release by Tok Tok vs Soffy O. this particular track from that LP isn't actually on BPitch Control but it's too good not to include.
