Dearest Sarah,

How are you doing, my lovely? It's been awhile now, hasn't it? May 5, 2002 will forever go down in history as the greatest night of both our lives, won't it? I remember wandering backstage and bumping into you. What a pleasant surprise THAT was! You remembered me as the boy who wrote you saying he had a crush on you. I remembered you as the girl who immediately wrote back saying how flattered you were, then blaming your blush on the springtime weather. Did you ever go ride that bike? I'm sure you did.

I'm writing at an internet music site called "The Alt" these days. It's alright, as far as internet sites go, except that it's full of songs written by boys. Where are the attractive girl? We both know that it's the "music" that's most important, but good looking girls write good songs too, you know. But let's not make this an issue.

I still remember the first time i listened to Night Bugs. What a day THAT was. Over and over i played that record falling more and more in love with each vocal inflection. I'll admit that it was the fact that Hawksley Workman produced it initiating my interest, but you kept it going.

Haha, remember when i was leaving the concert hall and you said goodbye to me? You should have seen the face on my brother and his fiancee. They couldn't believe that i KNEW you, let alone that well. If only they knew...oh, if only they knew.

Oh Sarah Slean, what more can i say? This may be an awkward way to go about it, but, will you marry me? I await your response with baited breath.

Love,

mr. gast

Quite scary in fact.

But good.

I first read that as "I remember wandering backstage and pumping into you. What a pleasant surprise THAT was!".

I think my mind is broken.

Heh, my mind is broken too Xenex - I read it as:

"I remember wandering backstage and humping into you."

What a twisted little world we live in.

sarah slean should be afraid. very very afraid.

that point aside, it's a well-thought-out and interesting way of recommending her "music"... ("good looking girls write good music too" BAH!)

though you could have chosen better songs for donwload... egad! will all she's ever remembered for be Sweet Ones: her self-proclaimed cheesy pop song?

just go listen to her music. hopefully you'll fall in love with her too... her MUSIC that is.

unlike some creepy creepy people out there...
